(WA)(05-26-2021) WSDOT Truck Struck at Crash Scene
On Wednesday morning a WSDOT Incident Response Team was doing traffic control at a crash scene on northbound I-405 in Bothell when the driver of a van slammed into the back of IRT truck in the closed toll lane. IRT worker had to be extricated from his vehicle by the fire department and he was transported to the hospital with injuries to his shoulder, neck, and leg. Advanced warning signs along with cones were set out and emergency lights were on. The Washington State Patrol reported that the driver of the other vehicle, who was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, is being investigated for impaired driving.
