Wisconsin: Milwaukee Police squad car struck while responding to accident
The squad car had emergency lights and sirens activated when it stopped at a red light at N. MLK Dr. and North Ave. The officer was attempting to drive through the intersection when he was hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound.
The driver of the striking vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
The officer found that the driver was operating with a suspended driving status and no insurance. He was issued citations and released from the scene.
