Indiana: Jeffersonville police officer hit by car; injuries believed to be non-life threatening
A Jeffersonville police officer is being treated for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries following a traffic incident Friday night.
Around 10:25 p.m., officers responded to Charlestown Pike and Armstrong Road regarding a suspicious vehicle. While officers were outside of their patrol cars investigating, a passing driver struck one of the officers with their car, according to JPD Sgt. Isaac Parker.
The officer was taken to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment. Indiana State Police are investigating the incident.
