Georgia: Police searching for suspect following shooting at Atlanta market

Police are searching for a suspect following a shooting at a supermarket in Atlanta. The incident happened early Thursday morning outside the Big 4 Discount Supermarket on Girabaldi Street in southwest Atlanta.

Police tell CBS46 News that officers were investigating a situation involving drugs when one of the officers was nearly struck by a vehicle. That officer then fired several shots at the vehicle but the suspect was able to drive away.

The suspect later ditched the vehicle and took off on foot and he is still being sought by police.
