Australia: Road worker struck by car at Cattai
A road worker was seriously injured after being struck by a car north west of Sydney Thursday night.
Police said a ute was travelling north on Wisemans Ferry Road at Cattai, about 11.30pm when it approached a roadwork zone at the intersection with Halcrows Road.
The ute struck a road worker before coming to rest in between an embankment and a parked vehicle.
The 60-year-old male road worker suffered serious leg, pelvic and internal injuries as a result of the incident.
He was treated by ambulance paramedics at the scene before being airlifted to hospital.
