Maryland: State trooper struck by drunk driver in Annapolis Monday evening
A Maryland state trooper was taken to a hospital after being struck by a drunk driver while on routine patrol in Annapolis Monday evening, reported police.
Michael Osley, of Annapolis, was driving a red 2006 Honda Element on Route 665/Aris T. Allen Boulevard near Riva Road shortly before 8 p.m. June 19 when he failed to drive right of center, according to police.
Osley's car ended up striking the passenger side of an SUV driven by TFC Yurkevich.
Osley was arrested and taken to the Glen Burnie Barrack for processing; he was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, negligent driving and other traffic-related violations. Osley was not injured in the crash.
