Ohio: Intoxicated Driver Hits Tow Truck in Westlake
A tow truck driver towing a car from the scene of an accident got smashed into by a drunk driver on Jan. 31. Police say the driver didn't make any attempt to move from its collision course. A 50-year-old Westlake woman was cited for DCI. She was at a Main Street business and had to be transported to St. John Medical Center by Westlake Fire because of how intoxicated she was. This was the second time in less than a week that she has been cited for DCI.
Fictitious Plates, Jan. 30 - Police arrested a 32-year-old Cleveland man for driving a car with stolen temporary tags. He was stopped at a Detroit Road business while he dropped off his girlfriend. He was cited for DUS, RSP, and Fictitious Plates.
Theft, Jan. 30 - A Crocker Park Boulevard store reported that $169 worth of clothing was stolen. Staff was able to get the license plate of the suspect. The vehicle was a rental and the rental agency provided information on the 26-year-old Akron woman who rented the car. The store has also promised to deliver CCTV footage of the theft.
