Massachusetts: Officer injured after cruiser struck; suspect's 4th drunk driving charge
A West Bridgewater officer was injured Monday after his cruiser was struck by an alleged drunk driver. Sergeant Jonathon Craven's cruiser was struck around 9:15 p.m. on Route 106. He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton with shoulder, neck and back injuries but is expected to be okay. William Shea, a 56-year-old Brockton man, was arrested at the scene. According to police, Shea was given multiple field sobriety tests before his arrest. It is the fourth time Shea has been charged with operating under the influence. Shea's car was seized by officers.
