Michigan: Firefighter Struck by Car While Directing Traffic at Michigan Crash Scene
A Northern Michigan firefighter was struck by a car on Dec. 14, while directing traffic at a police-involved crash. Around 1 p.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police Cadillac Post responded to a traffic crash on M-72 at Elk Lake Road in Grand Traverse County that involved an on-duty Grand Traverse County Sheriff's deputy.
A firefighter was struck by a vehicle while directing traffic at the scene of a crash involving an on-duty Grand Traverse County (MI) Sheriff's deputy.
During the crash investigation, a vehicle lost control and struck a Grand Traverse County patrol car and Grand Traverse Rural Fire Department truck and a firefighter who was controlling traffic at the scene. The firefighter was transported.
