United Kingdom: British police release footage of traffic warden being struck by irate driver’s car

Bodycam footage has been released of a traffic warden being mown down by an irate motorist in England as he prepared a parking ticket. The warden had asked the driver to move their car because it was parked on zig zags in High Street, Eastchurch, on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent, at 2.45pm on July 8.

While a parking ticket was being printed, the car accelerated towards the traffic warden and careered into him before being driven off. Footage of the crash, which was captured on a body worn camera, has now been released by Kent Police along with a previously-published still image of a man officers want to speak to over the incident.

A police spokesman said: "The victim was not seriously injured but suffered pain to his neck and shoulders."
