North Carolina: Forsyth County deputy in intensive care after being struck by vehicle near Tanglewood Park
A Forsyth County sheriff’s deputy suffered serious injuries Sunday after being hit by a vehicle near the entrance of Tanglewood Park. Deputy J.T. Isenhour, 38, who started working at the sheriff’s office in 2015, was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he was placed in the intensive care unit.
No information about the injuries, driver, vehicle or possible charges was immediately available. The sheriff’s office said in a news release that Isenhour was struck during the annual Bike MS: Tour to Tanglewood, a fundraiser that features routes ranging from 17 miles to 100 miles and attracts hundreds of cyclists. The N.C. State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident, according to the sheriff's office.
