Florida: Man strikes officer with car
A·A Tallahassee, Fla. man faces felony obstruction charges after he struck a female Forsyth police officer with his car and wrecked trying to avoid arrest.
Officer Kimberly Barnett had pulled over a 2016 Chevy Impala at mile marker 186 on I-75 south around 8:16 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10 for speeding. Barnett told the driver she had pulled him over for going 88 in a 70 mph zone, and she took his license back to her patrol car. The driver, Carl Lester Carr, 29, of Tallahassee, says he didn’t know he was speeding.
