Canada: Crossing guard struck, seriously injured after being struck in Brampton
A 76-year-old crossing guard was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Brampton Friday.It happened at Fernforest Drive and Peter Robertson Boulevard at around 3:30 p.m.
Peel Regional Police said that the guard was struck when two vehicles collided at the intersection. He was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The Peel Police Major Collision Bureau is investigating the incident.
Roads in the area are expected to be closed as police investigate.
