Idaho: Road construction worker struck by vehicle

A construction worker was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday in Island Park. According to the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, Jeanie K. Dionne, 29, was flagging in a construction zone in the Last Chance area when a motorist disregarded her instructions and struck her with the vehicle.

Dionne suffered minor injuries, but did not required hospitalization. After the deputies’ investigation, Laurie Lyn Augustin, 54, was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and careless inattentive driving. A follow-up investigation was still underway on Wednesday by the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office.
