New Hampshire: State Trooper struck by Florida tractor trailer driver near Exit 6 in Nashua
A New Hampshire State Trooper’s cruiser was sideswiped by a tractor trailer on the F. E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua at about 12:48 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Trooper Mark Dore of Troop B was parked near exit 6 with his blue lights flashing in a coned-off portion of the roadway at a construction site in front of a large orange Department of Transportation truck. As he was preparing to exit the cruiser, Dore said he felt the tractor trailer crash into the cruiser, saw the bottom of the rig's trailer out his window as it scraped down the side of the car.
Dore said the truck’s driver, Natalia Timakova of Palm Coast, Florida, continued on as if nothing had happened. Police say Dore left the construction site and pursued the truck. When he finally flagged her down, police say Timakova told him she was unaware she had struck his cruiser.
Timakova was cited for violating New Hampshire’s Move Over Law. Dore was transported to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
