Louisiana: Madison Parish deputy hit by car
A Madison Parish Sheriff's deputy sustained minor injuries after being hit by a vehicle Thursday morning. When the accident occurred, traffic was stopped in both westbound lanes following a tractor trailer wreck that knocked down wires across the interstate.
One driver failed to yield to the blue lights, Major Neal Horath said, and hit the deputy. The deputy suffered minor injuries and was transported to Madison Parish Hospital and later released. His name is not being released at this time.
The driver received citations, Horath said, but did not face any charges.
