Colorado: No one hurt after unmarked Colorado Springs police car struck by SUV
An unmarked Colorado Springs police car was struck by a SUV Tuesday morning near downtown. Police say a detective was headed north on South Nevada Avenue near downtown when his car was hit on the passenger side at Moreno Avenue.
Police say the driver of an SUV failed to stop at a stop sign. No one was hurt in the incident. However, both cars sustained some damage. The driver of the SUV was cited for failing to yield at the stop sign, police said.
