Minnesota: Distracted driver hits MSP squad car
Mangled metal, a Michigan state trooper and his trainee sent to the hospital, because police say, someone wasn't paying attention.
"You gotta drive your car, when you're driving your car," said Lt. Mike Shaw from the Michigan State Police.
Michigan state police say around 12:30 Thursday afternoon, a state trooper and his dispatch trainee, pulled over to write an accident report on southbound I-75 near Caniff in Hamtramck. That's when a man driving a Cadillac truck going at least 70 miles per hour:
"Became distracted behind the wheel, went up onto the left shoulder and struck the rear end of our patrol car, pushing the patrol car up into the median wall," said Shaw.
