Kentucky: Pulaski County crossing guard struck by truck at Southwestern High School
A school employee acting as a crossing guard was hit by a truck at Southwestern High School in Pulaski County on Wednesday afternoon. The man was airlifted to University of Tennessee Medical Center and is listed in critical condition, Kentucky State Police Trooper Lloyd Cochran said. His name was not immediately released.
Students had not been let out of school when the man was hit at about 3 p.m., county emergency manager Tiger Robinson said. School officials delayed the release of students because of the accident. The person driving the truck that hit the man was also a school employee, Cochran said. No charges have been filed against the driver.
