Washington, DC: MPD officer struck by vehicle in D.C.
A Metropolitan Police Officer was struck by a vehicle Thursday evening at Southern Ave. and Mississippi Ave., Southeast. MPD's PIO says they are not yet sure what the officer was doing at the time he was hit.
We have been told that the striking vehicle stayed on the scene.
The officer's injuries appear to be non-life threatening.
