Georgia: Cobb Officer Struck By Car; Search Underway for Suspects
Police are continuing their search for the suspects who struck a Cobb police officer with their car on Tuesday night. No details yet on the officer's injuries, or how many suspects may be involved. A Cobb police spokesperson says the suspects have not yet been apprehended.
The incident began at a BP gas station on South Cobb Drive, when an officer noticed some suspicious activity. He went to investigate and that's when the suspects took off, striking him with their vehicle.
Other police units then pursued the vehicle, and the chase ended near the Vinings Plantation subdivision, where the suspects then fled on foot.
Police were searching Tuesday night in a neighborhood along Oakdale Road.
