United Kingdom: Police hunt motorist who deliberately mowed down an officer outside a pub before 'driving off erratically'
'On Friday February 19, shortly before 7pm, police officers were carrying out enquiries at the Omnibus pub, in Middleton, Leeds. 'Whilst there, a police officer was deliberately driven at by a Vauxhall Astra and left the scene driving erratically.
A police officer was deliberately run over in a hit and run attack outside a Leeds pub yesterday evening.
The incident happened outside the Omnibus pub in the Middleton area of the city shortly before 7pm yesterday.
Locals claimed the bar was open for the last time last night prior to its demolition.
'The police officer sustained non life-threatening injuries which required hospital treatment and has since been discharged. Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver of the vehicle.
'Anyone who witnessed the incident or have any information are asked to contact DI Seth Robinson via 101 quoting reference 198 of 19 February.
