Tennessee: 2 Police Vehicles Hit On Interstate 40

Two Metro Nashville Police Department vehicles were struck by a vehicle while officers were working a crash. Authorities said the wreck happened at the scene of an unrelated crash on Interstate 40 West near Charlotte Pike around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

Officials said a vehicle hit two police vehicles that were blocking traffic with their emergency equipment on.

No one was inside the police vehicles, and no injuries were reported from officers.

The two people inside the vehicle that hit the police cruisers received non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities said the crash remained under investigation.
