Oregon: Boise man hits tow truck driver with big rig, takes off
A Boise semi truck driver has been arrested after he allegedly crashed his big rig into a tow truck and took off without stopping, Oregon Police say. Troopers say Stewart Maze, 40, of Boise was driving on Highway 97 Sunday night when he passed the scene of a crash along the road. OSP says Maze struck one of the tow trucks, injuring the driver.
Maze was later stopped about eight miles from the crash. Troopers charged him with driving under the influence, reckless driving, reckless endangering, criminal mischief, assault and failure to perform the duties of a driver.
He's being held in the Deschutes County Jail in Bend.
