Ohio: Deputy struck by vehicle

A 56-year-old man could possibly be charged with OVI after he struck a deputy this morning. The deputy was not seriously hurt.

The man was parked in the driveway of a home when the deputy pulled up to the home. The deputy approached the truck from the passenger side to talk to the man, when the driver took off and struck the deputy.

The deputy was hit in the vest area. The driver ended up behind the home.

He was found to have Oxycodone, which he said he takes for pain. The incident is still under investigation.
