New Jersey: Police car struck in minor crash in Pemberton
A police officer was involved in a minor crash while on traffic detail in Pemberton, New Jersey.
The accident occurred around 10 a.m. Friday on the 200 block of Pemberton Browns Mill Road.
The officer was conducting traffic around a downed tree when the police car was rear ended by a black sedan. There were no serious injuries to the officer and civilian driver.
There was minor damage to the police car. The sedan also had moderate damage to the front end. Crews were called to the scene to chop the tree and get it off the road. The roadway closed during removal, but was back open by 11 a.m. The accident remains under investigation.
