Michigan: Ottawa County deputy hit by car, police looking for driver
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department is looking for the driver who they say hit a deputy who was directing traffic. The deputy was in front of Eagle Crest Charter Academy after an event at around 8 p.m. Friday.
The deputy was standing near their police car with a reflective vest on. While attempting to stop westbound traffic, a gray or black Jeep SUV hit the deputy in the leg and then drove off. The deputy's injuries are minor.
