Colorado State Patrol Trooper Involved In Crash On I-70
A Colorado State trooper was involved in a crash on Interstate 70 on Friday afternoon that shut down the interstate for a time. The trooper was investigating another crash and waiting for the scene to clear when a Chevy Silverado struck his state patrol cruiser. The trooper was inside the vehicle when it was struck after noon on Friday.
The trooper was taken to the hospital as a precaution but suffered minor injuries. No one else was hurt in the crash. The westbound lanes of I-70 at mile marker 190 on Vail Pass were closed for less than an hour during the accident investigation and cleanup.
