Pennsylvania: Police cruisers among vehicles struck during pursuit; suspect charged
A pursuit of the vehicle driven by Echols ended with a crash at Russellwood Avenue and Charles Street. Echols ran, but police caught up with and arrested him.
During the course of the pursuit, Echols struck two police cruisers and three other vehicles, according to police.
“When this car came down the alley, the cop car was already sitting there and it just ran right into him,” said Rebecca Wendt, a witness. No serious injuries were reported.
Charges against Echols include carrying a firearm without a license, reckless endangerment, fleeing or attempting to elude police, resisting arrest and driving under the influence.
