Washington: Deputies ask for help finding driver who struck WSP car
The Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in locating the driver of a vehicle that struck a Washington State Patrol trooper early Sunday.
At 12:24 a.m. Sunday, a WSP trooper was conducting a traffic stop in the 4500 block of Ocean Beach Highway with all emergency lighting activated. His patrol vehicle was struck by a small green station wagon with Washington plates possibly beginning with the letters "AV." The collision damaged both vehicles, though the trooper wasn't injured.
The suspect vehicle continued without stopping and was last seen northbound on 46th Avenue. The suspect vehicle has damage to the passenger side and should have white paint on it from the patrol car.
