Virginia: Stopped State Trooper vehicle, SUV struck on I-77 in Carroll
A Kentucky man has been charged with reckless driving after striking a Virginia State Police vehicle and another vehicle on the shoulder of Interstate 77 on Christmas Day in Carroll County.
According to Virginia State Police Sgt. A.J. Zyvoloski, the accident happened on I-77 South at the 11.3 mile marker at 2:02 p.m. Friday. Trooper K.D. Blackburn had pulled over a family from Artsdale, N.C. in a 2015 GMC Yukon and was working with the family on the shoulder of the road when a 2015 Toyota Camry driven by David Zwick, 80, of Kentucky approached.
