Virginia: DUI Driver Hits Middleburg Police Officer
A Town of Middleburg Police Officer is recovering from injuries he sustained after he was struck by a vehicle while directing traffic on Route 50 in Middleburg, according to a Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) announcement.
The officer was struck by a 2013 BMW driven by Sara A, Marsh, 53, of Middleburg while he was directing traffic shortly before 6 p.m. on December 5 at the intersection of Route 50 and Winery Lane in Middleburg.
The officer was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he was treated and later released from the hospital.
Marsh was charged with DUI and taken to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center where she was later released, according to LCSO.
