Georgia: Fire engine struck by bullet at White Bluff Road and Bliss Ave.

Chatham Metro Police are investigating after a bullet struck a fire engine windshield at White Bluff Road and Bliss Avenue. Savannah Fire and Emergency Services say four firefighters with Engine 2 was returning to their station from a call on Deerfield Avenue. They were traveling north on White Bluff Road, just south of Wilshire Blvd. when the bullet struck the driver’s side of the windshield.

The bullet ricocheted against the inside of the windshield and landed on the machine's dashboard

Two of the firefighters were hit with shattered glass but did not require medical treatment.

Investigators are trying to determine where the bullet came from.
