Connecticut: Windsor Locks Police Car Hit Twice
A town police vehicle was struck twice Monday morning as the officer responded to reports of burglaries, police said.
The officer was called to Greenfield Drive about 3:30 a.m. for reports of car break-ins, police said. The officer spotted a Mazda SUV with six people in it. When the police vehicle pulled in front of the SUV, the driver sped forward and hit the vehicle, police said.
The officer followed the vehicle to a condo complex off Southwest Avenue. The police car attempted to block the SUV from leaving and again was struck by the fleeing vehicle, police said.
The officer was not injured, but the police car was moderately damaged, police said. The suspects were not immediately located
