Washington: Car strikes tow truck on Highway 305

A Bremerton woman was arrested after crashing her car into a tow truck early Sunday on Highway 305. The tow truck was pulling a car at about 3 a.m. from a ditch near Baywatch Court when a Mazda Millenia ran through the emergency zone and struck the truck and its driver, who was outside the vehicle, according to the Washington State Patrol. The Mazda came to rest in a ditch.

The driver of the Mazda, a 19-year-old Bremerton woman, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault and obstructing law enforcement. Investigators believe the driver was intoxicated. A 33-year-old woman riding in the Mazda was injured and taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton for treatment. The tow truck driver was not injured.
