Massachusetts: Officer Nearly Struck During Motor Vehicle Stop
A New Bedford man who nearly ran over a police officer in Mashpee Friday afternoon, August 14, is in police custody.
Terrence Jacintho, 23, was stopped by police just after 2 PM near the Quashnet Valley Condominiums on Lowell Road. Mr. Jacintho, who had five outstanding warrants for his arrest, gave an officer a fake name upon being stopped, according to Mashpee Police Chief Scott W. Carline.
