Rhode Island: Three arrested after Coventry Officer struck by car
Three suspects were arraigned Saturday after being accused of driving a car into a police officer. A Coventry police officer was responding to an assault call around 1:30 Saturday morning on Magnolia Lane when a gold minivan fled the scene and struck the officer with a mirror.
The officer was not hurt and the suspects were caught about an hour later. Of the three arrested, 21 year old Matthew LaRoche of Richmond, was charged with assaulting an officer.He has been released. LaRoche is due back in court on August 24th.
