New York: State Police Officer Car Struck By Driver
A New York State Police Officer suffers from minor injuries after his car was struck on the roadway Sunday afternoon. State police say Trooper Michael Rosenthal was stopped at a light inside his Trooper car on 12-A in Chenango Bridge when a pick-up truck coming from I-88 struck the vehicle.
Police identify the driver of the pick up as Deposit resident Ruth Kipp.
Police say they are stillinvestigating the incident, but they believe the truck may have been unable to stop because of mechanical problems. Trooper Rosenthal was transported to a nearby hospital for minor injuries and officials say he has been released.
