A Pickens County deputy was injured early Monday in a wreck involving a DUI driver, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Troopers charged Bryan Edwards, 27, of Fairview, North Carolina, with DUI, troopers said.
The wreck happened just after 2:30 a.m. on SC 124, which is Old Easley Highway, near Fishtrap Road, troopers said. Pickens County deputy Robert Porter, 39, of Pickens, was parked in the median of Old Easley Highway, troopers said.
Edwards was driving a 2010 Toyota Tundra when he went left of center and hit the patrol car sitting in the median.
