According to the Osage Beach Police Department, Officer Austin White had stopped a vehicle at the east end of the Grand Glaize Bridge at 6:15 Thursday morning and was outside his car when a pickup truck driven by 58-year-old Robert Watkins of Osage Beach struck an assisting police cruiser from behind before striking White.
