Indiana: Three Indiana State Police cars struck in three separate crashes
Three Indiana State Police cars were damaged and three troopers were transported to area hospitals overnight after being involved in three interstate crashes. At approximately 7:30 p.m. Friday night Trooper Evan Joyner was responding to a personal injury crash on I-465 when another vehicle changed lanes in front of him causing a rear end crash. Joyner was transported to St. Vincent for back and ankle pain.
Then at approximately 12:40 a.m. Saturday morning, Trooper Walter Butt was on I-465 WB at the 2.7 mile marker assisting at the scene of a possible intoxicated driver going the wrong way on the interstate. Trooper Butt’s car was rear ended and his vehicle was shoved into the violator’s car. He was transported to Methodist Hospital to be checked out.
