Colorado: Deputy hit by car, burglary suspect shot
Authorities say an Arapahoe County sheriff's deputy shot a fleeing robbery suspect who hit another deputy with his vehicle. Sheriff's investigators say deputies were called to a liquor store in the Arapahoe Village Shopping Center just after midnight Tuesday and found the robbery suspect making several turns in the parking lot. The suspect, whose name has not been released, is accused of striking a deputy who was on foot, prompting another deputy to open fire. The deputy who was struck did not suffer life-threatening injuries. The suspect's condition has not been released. The shopping complex with more than 20 businesses at 5050 Arapahoe Rd. was blocked off while deputies investigated.
