Tennessee: Officer struck by vehicle in Madison
Police said a Metro officer was struck by a vehicle while responding to a call on Thursday afternoon. It happened around 3:20 p.m. near East Old Hickory and Fourth Avenue in Madison. According to a police spokesperson, Madison Precinct Officer Edward Draves was responding to a domestic call. He was in the process of making an arrest when the suspect ran away on East Old Hickory Boulevard.
Draves chased the suspect when he was hit and knocked to the ground by a gold-colored vehicle. Police said that vehicle didn't stop and kept going. There was no further description of the vehicle. Draves suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
