Arkansas: Officer Struck by Patrol Car During Chase
A North Little Rock Police officer is hurt after getting hit by a patrol car driven by another police officer. Police say the officers were chasing suspect when one of the officers lost control of his cruiser, hitting the officer who was running after a suspect. The accident happening on West 23rd Street. "He was struck by a responding officer who was coming to assist him," said North Little Rock Police Chief Mike Davis.
The injured officer was chasing down a suspect around 4 p.m. When help arrived, authorities say the driver could not stop. Authorities say gravel and grass on the road played a part in the responding officer's inability to stop his cruiser.
