Ohio: Toledo police officer hit by car, in hospital
A Toledo police officer was hospitalized Saturday after he was struck by a vehicle at a crime scene in North Toledo where shots were fired. The vehicle hit the officer at about 5 p.m. at West Oakland Street and Ferris Avenue. Toledo police Sgt. Joe Heffernan said soon after the incident he had no information on the condition of the officer, who was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center for treatment. A suspect in the case was also taken from the scene by ambulance.Two vehicles remained at the scene for at least two hours Saturday. One had multiple bullet holes on the passenger side
