A Utah Highway Patrol trooper escaped injury when his parked cruiser was struck by an out-of-control vehicle on Interstate 80 just east of Salt Lake City Wednesday morning. UHP Sgt. About 6 a.m., a westbound car slid into the rear of the patrol unit.
