California: Fresno Bike Officer Hit by Car

A Fresno Police officer is recovering after being hit by a car. Two uniformed bicycle officers responded to Fern and Wishon in the Tower District just after 9:30 p.m. on Friday. They said two men who were arguing got into a car with a female driver. The suspects all refused to comply with orders, and the woman drove away, hitting the officer and damaging his bike.

Authorities say 44-year-old Enedia Romandia then led them on a pursuit that finally ended at Van Ness and McKinley. She was arrested on several charges, including drunk driving and felony assault.
