South Carolina:North Myrtle Beach Officer Struck by Car

An early morning Saturday wreck sent one North Myrtle Beach police officer to the hospital for a knee injury. The wreck occurred at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of U.S. 17 and Main Street, according to Pat Dowling, spokesman for the city of North Myrtle Beach. Officers David Reist and Bobby Hall were working a minor wreck at that location when a female motorist crashed her car into one of the police units, causing the police unit to strike another car, and pushing that car into Hall, Dowling said.
