Virginia Deputy Struck While Directing Traffic
On Friday (11/15) at about 7:53 PM, a deputy conducting a traffic stop on James Madison Highway was struck by a vehicle. As the vehicle approached the deputy, he signaled with his flashlight at the front of the oncoming vehicle, yelled for the driver to stop, backed up, and even tried to turn and slide over the hood of his patrol car. The driver struck his left leg and the mirror of his vehicle without stopping.
