Maryland Highway Worker Struck, Killed On 216

A state highway worker putting up traffic cones was struck and killed last night in Howard County. The worker's name was not released until police could notify family members. A sedan hit the worker was trying to close the second lane along westbound Route 216 near Route 29. The victim was an employee with the Road Safety Traffic Control Company under contract with the state. The driver of the car stopped.
